Dairy-free Mexican Avena for breastfeeding mama's

After the delivery of my first baby girl I remember my mom showing up with this pitcher. She said "you need to drink all of this so your milk comes in". When your Mexican mama tells you to do something like this, you just trust the process without question.

It's sort of how she would wrap me in a white sheet and pour rubbing alcohol all over me when I was sick. That's for another day but we have some funny traditions that actually did feel good at the time.

Nutty Coconut Balls

When I was making these, my dad and I said they look a lot like buckeyes. If you're from the south then you know about this yummy holiday treat. Although they look similar the ingredients are not. They are packed with yummy, filling ingredients like mixed nuts, fibrous chia seeds and flax seeds to help flush out toxins.

I am freezing these for quick snacks to have while breastfeeding and to also happily pass out to two begging toddlers. haha

Turkey & Veggie dairy-free Cheesy Casserole

It's the last week of my pregnancy and I am batch cooking a few meals to get me through my first month with 3 kids. This is a favorite of ours and I have been meaning to get it up on the blog for quite some time. I hope you enjoy it too.

This casserole is dairy-free but still cheesy! I used all fresh ingredients and is warm and hearty when eaten with the jasmine rice.

Non-toxic Padsicles

During my hospital stay with my first and second, one thing I was given in the post partum department that felt so good on my lady bits was this cold pack they would break and place in my pad. After some research, I decided I want those well after I deliver because you can stay swollen, inflamed and still have burning down there well after you've delivered and been discharged from the hospital. Also, anything I can do to speed up the healing process, I am open to.

Insert - the padsicle.

Amazon haul before baby #3 arrives

Although, we have a ton of things from my other two babies, there were still some items I am excited to use and share with other mama's to be. I thought I'd share them here so it's always in one spot.

Homemade Almond Milk + what I use to make it

I started making homemade almond milk for a few reasons. Although it takes a little work on my end, it is something I am willing to take on for the health of myself and my family.
